Hello borderless souls,
If you have spent any time researching Central America, you have probably already crossed Nicaragua off your list. Maybe it was a headline from a few years back, maybe it was a friend who said do not even think about it, maybe it was just a vague sense that something was not quite right there.

Nicaragua stands out as a budget-friendly option for digital nomads thanks to its territorial tax system, which exempts foreign income from local taxes.
While there isn’t an official digital nomad visa, the Rentista residency program offers a pathway for those with steady passive income, requiring proof of at least $750–$1,250 per month.
Affordable living is a major draw, with furnished city-center apartments averaging $344 monthly and utilities at about $75.
Groceries typically cost $238 per month, and a simple restaurant meal averages just $4.91.
Despite these perks, potential residents should note research, cautious planning, and expert advice are essential for anyone considering making Nicaragua their remote work base. Read More... |
